This work analyzes the basic transmission structures and numerical methods used for modeling the electromagnetic fields inside the TEM and GTEM-cell. Design of TEM-cell and GTEM-cell is explained. Extensive parameter measurements show the influence of absorbers and resistors in GTEM-cell design. Current distribution on septum depending on the resistor position is modeled. Frequencies of higher order modes are calculated. Measured EM field inside the cells confirms the numerical model results. The analysis given in the work should help EMC personnel and researchers in better understanding of TEM and GTEM-cells. The book can also be of use to teachers and Ph.D. students working in the area of electromagnetic compatibility.

Weeds are constant component of agro-ecosystem and alternative control methods have been used to control them in sugarcane. However, to design effective weed control measures, identification, characterization and quantification of weed species in a certain area are important steps. Information on weed density, distribution and species composition help to predict yield losses. The present finding determines the prevalence and distribution of weeds; assess the influence of some environmental and crop management practices on weed species composition and distribution; and evaluate the shift in weed flora during the past 13 years in the sugarcane plantations of Ethiopia (Wonji-Shoa and Metahara). Such information would enable the sugarcane plantations of Ethiopia to decide whether it is economical to control a specific weed problem and evaluate the existing weed management practices.

Microclimatic conditions played a major role in determining pteridophyte community composition from the study region especially of A. lunulatum.Microclimatic information was, therefore, vital for empirical field studies, management and conservation planning of pteridophytes. It can be used to explain the behaviour, distribution, and development of organisms in natural systems.Population studies of A. lunulatum may create an understanding of selective forces and adaptive features of species in natural habitats. Derived the transport equation by making use of the derivation of the constructed distribution function.Under the derivation of the distribution function we have got a partial differential equation.Then the equation of motion and field equation of temperature and concentrations of particles in presence of Coriolis force have been used in the above equation.Simplifying each term of the equa. in terms of one-point and two-point distribution function and substituting the simplified terms in above equa., we obtained the transport equa. for the joint distribution function of velocity, temperature and concentration of particles in convective turbulent flow in presence of Coriolis force.Then compared the result with the equa. of one-point distribution function in case of zero Coriolis force and negligible diffusivity.The system is unclosed that is why some approximations are required to closed the system of equa. for the joint distribution function.We have obtained the equa. of the decay of temperature fluctuations in homogeneous turbulence before the final period in a rotating system, considering the correlation between fluctuating quantities at 1 points and 3 points for single time.
